Letts Music School is headquartered in Rotorua NZ and also has a teaching studio in Derby UK.  Letts Music School is headed up by Alice Letts who is from Rotorua and teaches globally via online music courses and skype piano lessons.  


New Zealand born Alice is a Pianist with many years experience in music who teaches in Rotorua New Zealand, Derbyshire England and worldwide utilising video conferencing platforms such as skype, facetime, zoom and google hangout.

Alice is a member of EPTA, the European Piano Teachers Association.  Alice specialises in teaching beginners and accepts preschoolers through to older children and adult students.

Alice began learning the piano when she was four years old in a group music class run by Yamaha. When she was five years old she started private tuition. At the age of 13, Alice began to learn the pipe organ. She has played the pipe organ regularly at church services and by bookings at funerals and weddings. She studied the pipe organ with Mr Green and Ms Fletcher. 

Alice studied the piano with Mrs Middlemiss, Mrs Trail, Ms Fletcher, and Mrs Taylor in New Zealand. When travelling to the United Kingdom, Alice studied with Mr Lanfear and Mr Willett. 

Alice has performed as a pianist within bands and as a soloist, at a number of concerts, functions and special events.

She has a diverse repertoire ranging from baroque, romantic, classical, jazz, musicals, pop, and gospel. She is available for bookings for weddings and functions.

She received the Queens Award (Girls Brigade International) in 1995.

Alice has a Merit in Grade 8 Piano from the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) and Grade 7 Music Theory from Trinity College of London (Trinity) and Grade 5 Music Theory (ABRSM). She has won Awards and Trophies from her performances in local competitions and first place for solo's in her division. 

Alice has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Victoria University of Wellington (VUW), New Zealand. In 2010/11 Alice received the City & Guilds Certificate in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Sector (PTLLS) from Derby College (England).

Alice is committed to continuing education and is currently working towards her Diploma with the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music ABRSM.
